The scarabs will help keep you alive if you need to stabilize, and if you have the board, creating those spiders is a headache for your opponent.

Malfurion the Pestilent may not be as flashy as the other Death Knights, but it feels like a workhorse card. Malfurion gets a B+ and a shiny red apple for all his pet bugs. The Death Knight would go fantastic there, and there’s plenty of other support. However, I have this hunch that a viable midrange Druid build will come forward sometime before the next expansion. I don’t think that will go well, but I suppose all those 1/5 scarabs could be more annoying than I think. In the more unpredictable vein, Blizzard chooses to push Taunt Druid. Ramp Druid, already more than a meme, picks up several valuable cards, both class and neutral, and I think it will be a strong choice. Token Druid looks to be the aggro deck to watch, with the tools to slow down other aggro and evade Control Paladin’s early game. With the solid support KFT provides, I think it stays in a very good spot. I would be surprised to see these cards locked out of the meta.Īlright, boring stuff out of the way! Let’s start with Druid!ĭruid is in good shape right now, with several diverse and feisty decks fighting for Tier 1 and Tier 2 status. Almost certainly sees some light play in a Tier 2 deck at least.Ĥ out of 4: Very likely to see play in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck. Might be a staple in a Tier 3 deck, or perhaps a tech card in a Tier 2 deck.ģ out of 4: Likely to see play in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck. Probably won’t even make it into a Tier 3 deck.Ģ out of 4: Unlikely to see play in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck. Here’s what each point value essentially means:ġ out of 4: Very unlikely to see play in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck. I’ve decided to rate every class card on a 4-point scale. Please don’t use my predictions as the basis for how you spend your money/gold/dust.When I talk about Tiers, I’m using a vague anecdotal mishmosh of the various rating sites like Vicious Syndicate and Tempo Storm.

I’m a dirty biased control deck player and you can’t stop it.I’m assuming you have working familiarity with Hearthstone, and how it works on a competitive level. He might have chimed in a few other places too, but don’t listen to anything he says about Shaman. Oh, and Matt pitched in with some thoughts about the new Death Knights. I’ll also talk about how well I think each class will fare in the new meta. I’ll do my best to explain why I feel the way I do about every card, and go over possible deck fits for the good ones. Apparently lacking any fear or wits, I’ve decided to put my skills to the test and try to predict how good the cards in the newest expansion, Knights of the Frozen Throne (KFT) are. I’ve been playing since the pre-Naxxramas days, made legend multiple times, and go infinite in Arena. Well, the secret is out: I’m a diehard Hearthstone addict.
